Buying a gift for yourself is not just for the holidays but is acceptable all year long. I don’t buy myself gifts too often but I do enjoy treating myself once in a while. It’s a reminder to myself that I am worth it and that regardless of what anyone else does for me I love myself.
I have compiled a list of some of my favorite self care gift ideas that I have bought for myself. I have included the item, a description, and the link to purchase for yourself.
Self Care Gift IDeas
1. Press-on Nails
When I was looking for a more budget-friendly way of getting my nails done, I found these press-on nails. They are the best press-on nails I have ever purchased! They don’t require nail glue like most nails.
The best part (besides looking great) is that they last up to two weeks. They are so easy and quick to put on. I get compliments all of the time when I have on a set of these nails.
2. Blankets
Raise your hand if you have way more blankets than people who live in the house. I love finding new blankets that are so silky and smooth.
I keep a basket of blankets in my living room and bedroom because I have so many and I definitely love my blankets.
3. Books
I don’t think I can ever get enough books. My husband and I already have 2 bookcases filled to the brim, as well as a basket of books until I make room for a third bookcase.
We also keep a few books on our nightstands and living room end tables. If anyone were to ask, I don’t have a favorite book. I enjoy reading such a variety of books that I couldn’t choose just one.
My favorite book series is Harry Potter, and I finally purchased the 7th book to complete my set.
4. Spa Set
If I had to choose between a manicure or a pedicure, I would choose a pedicure every time. I love having my feet taken care of and love how they look and feel after a pedicure.
When I feel like taking care of my feet myself I love using this foot spa and callous remover.
5. Purses
I love a new purse. Tote-style purses are my favorite style because I can fit a lot of stuff in there, as well as still look stylish.
I tend to buy mostly black and brown purses because I can wear them with everything. I am loving this berry-colored purse from Coach. This is a great color for the season.
6. Jewelry
I struggle with finding enough space to store all of my jewelry. Years ago my dad made me a couple of custom necklace holders and gave me a couple of storage containers for all of my earrings.
I have already filled them to the brim with all of my jewelry, but I don’t see myself stopping buying more anytime soon. I love finding new jewelry to match my outfits.
7. Lipstick
I don’t wear lipstick regularly, but when I do wear it I want it to last. I hate having to reapply lipstick throughout the day.
My favorite affordable lipstick right now is Vinyl Ink by Maybelline. It comes in a variety of colors. I’m loving the color Coy for an every day color. These lipsticks stay on all day and keep the glossy look without drying or peeling.
8. Shoes
I love wearing a cute pair of heels or wedge shoes when I am going out. I especially love shoes that are colorful or have a fun design. Often when I find a comfortable pair of cute shoes, I like to purchase them in different colors.
9. Air Fryer
This item is different from a traditional gift idea. My air fryer is the most used appliance in my kitchen after the microwave. I use my air fryer for over half of the meals I prepare.
In my opinion, it makes the best wings, fries, pizza, veggies, and more. I have even used it to make cookies! If you don’t own one yet, I highly suggest purchasing an air fryer.
10. Pen Set
I am very picky about the kinds of pens I purchase because not all pens are created equal. My favorite pens right now are the InkJoy pens by Papermate. They glide on the paper so nicely and come in a variety of colors.
I don’t like sharing these pens with others for fear of them stealing them. For that reason, I keep some basic pens in my purse if someone needs to borrow one.
11. Flowers
You don’t have to wait for someone else to get you flowers. Go ahead and buy yourself some flowers. Fresh flowers brighten up any room and they smell great as well. When you buy your own you get to pick exactly what you like.

12. Rakuten
This one is not a traditional gift, but it’s a way to earn money back when you make purchases online (which is a great gift to yourself). They have so many merchants in their database and each one will give you a certain percentage back when you make an online purchase.
You can download Rakuten as a Chrome extension to make it easy to save. I have already earned quite a bit of cash back since I started using Rakuten.
